Stupid To reduce/block rain on back car window

I was thinking of putting one of my dashcams on the back window of the car, but the problem is, it is a saloon, and there is no rear window wiper.

What that of course means, is when it is raining - and especially raining and the car is stationary, at say, traffic lights, or generally queues, the rain on the back window means there is not enough of a clear view because all that water stops a small dashcam camera being able to see through it.

So, is there anything (cheap) on the market out there that can be attached to the outside at the very top of the back window to create an area where the rain is stopped from reaching the glass, that would allow my dashcam (it's small) on the inside at the top to be able to see through a "patch" if you will? Something small and the same principle as a wind deflector like you would put on your side windows but to do the job of keeping water away from a 3 or 4 inch "window" in the window?

Might sound an odd request, but aside from getting a rear wiper fitted (costly and would look odd) I can't think of anything to get this effect so thought I'd ask the (daftish?) question here!

Aldi currently sell in their special offers isle a spray for car windows that dispels water and it works really well and less than £2.

    Edit: It's this one https://www.aldi.co.uk/automate-rainguard-car-glass-spray/p/083567204224400

I'll have a look at that tomorrow buddy. They have their own brand I assume or is it actually that one in the link £3 less than the online retailer?

They have some in stock, so at £2 a throw, I might as well get 5 bottles cos it's in their "when its gone its gone" products!

Vinegar will also work, but needs reapplying often.

The old trick used to be to cut a potato in half and rub that on the windscreen.

Had to travel from the Midlands to Keighley and back yesterday/today. I drive over 1500 business miles a month so the windscreen is constantly getting sprayed with salt this time of year plus the car completely drinks washer fluid as it jets the headlights too. I've got a few of these windscreen potions and I think I'll be giving the front one some rain away after the next wash.

Could also try claying the glass to make it as smooth as possible so water runs off it.

The first rain-x kit I bought came with a specific cleaner to get the windscreen spotless so that link makes a lot of sense. Whenever I've treated my screen in the past I'm always in the mindset to never use the wipers. This results in the interesting challenge in the morning to get over 20 mph when setting off

I stopped near Saltaire last night but it was too cold to venture out. I did the same last summer but had a nice walk around there, some scrote shot a pellet towards me when I was walking back from Fanny's Ale House but that could just have been because I wasn't from Yorkshire. Sorry, West Yorkshire
