    Photos Wasp eating

    Here is a wasp dining out on what I think is a bit of fallen fruit off the Leycesteria formosa (Himalayan honeysuckle) shrub in the garden...

    I'm thinking it is a fallen berry/fruit from one of the shrubs. Wasps like to get drunk on windfalls. But it was stripping lumps out and carrying them off.

    The focus just missed on the one that showed it best (manual macro lens equals many missed compared to hits on focusing with live insects - especially when they might choose to come and sting photographers!) but you can see what it is doing just about:
