    Attention Possible TalkTalk Scam?

Just a heads up really, recieved an automated call on landline earlier today, the robot voice claimed that my internet was too be switched off by the end of day ! no reason why but press 1 if you know and agree or press 2 to speak to a TalkTalk advisor and discuss your options ! I just hung up the call but I can imagine what they was after .........

Interesting though that they have my number and obviously knew I was with TalkTalk. Have TalkTalk been compromised yet again or old details from previous hack resurfacing? Time will tell.

I'd move away from TalkTalk pronto unless it's their business division which seems to be a bit better.

We used to get this a lot.
If you press 1 I’m sure you get diverted to a premium rate call and are charged a stonking amount of money.

    on a side note.
If you think it’s genuine call the official number and ask.
I never accept a call or click links in emails.

The last 2 months I have started getting calls where imho they just guess an ISP. As they claim I am with an ISP I have NEVER been with.
They probably have success with the ISP guess if they keep choosing the big ISP's in 1/10 people.

To test them when they say which ISP they claim to be from, say "I am not with (in this case) Talk Talk". If they hang up, they are scammers.

To add. This might sound a bit racist but it genuinely is not.

It really winds me up when you get one of these calls, even from a genuine call center, in the most difficult to understand Indian accent and they start the Conversation with "Hello, My name is Brian/Peter/Steve"

    No it fucking isn't.

Although tbh it is better to get a call center in India than it is from Glasgow.
