Thoughts on mafia

Dunno if i should post this because these mods delete you quick....anyway.

what do you guys think about mafia?I found the "love scene" kinda weird(specially since my 7 yr old bro was around)..lol...but this game is almost a 10.It basically got better as it went on although it has a few predictable moments...like the ending.

To me it's definitely better than GTA3 although GTA3 has a better rendered city.This franchise(if it is that) will be better than the grand theft auto franchise because it has a story that you don't wanna stop playing.

you can't compare GTA and Mafia.. they're two completely different games, no matter how similar their gameplay is

Mafia took a shot at creating the most realistic city, car modeling, and all the other crap.

GTA was made for a console... it plays a lot more like an arcade game.. you can jump off buildings and only lose 7 hp... while in Mafia, you jump off a building and you're dead..

it's not compareable.

I expected a much more spectacular and more max payne into game then just a clonic gta3 gameplay

game story is cool, but anyway so much hot news and hot movies, promos, rumors, bla bla I needed more

I guess it's one's taste..cause alot of people have the max payne mentallity and hate having to drive to everywhere...they just like straight action.I on the other hand love cruising around the city and country side in a 2 seater...makes me feel like i'm really the character.I love doin the trivial things in his life:like walking his soon to be girl to her house and talking with her e.t.c

This game is obviously a little too deep for some of you kids. I suggest playing Quake or Frogger.
Something that won't strain your mind.

great game,but i didnt feel like i was part of a mafia family...
hardly any other mafia guys hanging around..
wasnt as deep as i hoped it would be

The storyline is great, I just finished it... While GTA3 was deleted after 5 mins of playing :-) Mafia is an example of a good game! The storyline is great(of course it could be better, but i've seen much worse)... Comparing Mafia with GTA3 just doesn't fit, GTA3 is just a console game, pure arcade, and I know some people won't like what I say but : GTA3 sucks ass ;-p In Mafia it's all about being a real gangster, the atmosphere, the city, the cars, the storyline, yes I loved every minute of the game ;-) In fact I'll put this game second on my list of favorite games of 2002, right after MOHAA, third comes Neverwinter Nights, 4 is Warcraft 3 and 5 is Morrowind
