no blood and fading bodies in NOLF2 Demo?

I have a maxtor 80gb 7200 rpm hdd.
I don't think I stress the hdd a lot. but these days, you hear stories about people's hdd's dying in such a short amount of time.
I can put a fan in front of the hard drive bay....
but question is.. will this cooling prolong the hard drive?

it's not like my hdd runs hot or anything... just warm.

in most cases not. I don't see it being a problem unless your system tempertaure is really hot. I just have a fan in the front bay because it's a spot for a fan and the more the better in terms of overclocking

I am from germany, i installes the nolf2 demo, and my question is:

if you kill an enemy, he falls to the ground without blood and is fading out after this (very early).

is it on an US Pc the same, or there are any restrictions for german computers, where blood is automatically deactivated, when the game was installed on a german pc like
SOF2 or GTA3?

No, the bodies don't fade unless you use the body remover tool. I'm surprised that the bodies disapear in your version. Keeping the dead bodies out of sight from other enemies was a major component of the game.
If I remember correctly, there WAS blood in the demo I played. I'll check again when I get home from work.

Yeh, in the german ver of the game bodies fade out faster and yes there is no blood. This is according to the government there, i think graphical violence is like literally banned from games
Lets put it this way, atleast your government is not like Greece where playing any kind of an electronic game is illegal period!!!!

It isn't illegal anymore, a judge ruled the law "unconstitutional". So everyone can game and gamble thier lives away again.

hmm my windows is in german and the language is set to german too, when i shoot someone it makes some nice bloodsplats and a nice bloodpool on the floor...
you must have done something else

wenn du dir zu fein bist das da oben zu lesen:
ich hab blut und mein windows ist auf deutsch sowie auch die spracheinstellung
bei mir spritzt das blut "literweise" ;D
und die meisten k�rper bleiben die ganze zeit liegen bzw. sehr lange

but no blood and ( maybe graphical error ) no dead body texturs ( yep... they are just invisible )

IZE, war mir nicht zu fein, hab ja auch auf englsich geposted ;O)

ich habe NIX ver�ndert, nur installiert und los...:

mein system: Windows XP Prof SP1, GF4 Ti 4600, 1024 MB ram

wie gesagt, die gegner fallen ohne blut um und verschwinden dann teilweise schon beim fallen, und liegen bleiben so komische wei�e symbole, also normal ist das nicht....
habe auch schon die ini's bearbeit, gore = 1 und so weiter, bringt alles nix..

have you tried the old trick of setting your system settings to english and then reinstalled the demo?

Works for most of the games, that have a germany only gore reduction...

I have played it when it came out and i cant really remember if there was blood, but the bodies sure as hell vanished fast...

EDIT: forgot to mention, /me german too!

ich hab win2k und wenn ich nen gegner um die ecke bringe dann verschwindet der k�rper sofort und blut hab ich auch keines... vielleicht liegts irgendwie an den l�ndereinstellungen bei 2k/xp ?? ma test0rn...

wir kriegen das blut schon wieder hin

Under "Language" change from "German" to "English"
and everything is fine.

Worked for me.
