    Default GTA3 Help PLEASE!!!

ok i searched for the old GTA3 help thread but couldnt find it.

Ok here is the prob, if i stay in one part of a town the game runs fine but as soon as i start to load the other parts of town (such as driving down the street) it gets all choppy like it cant find the files or something.

I have defraged and shut off all programs that i dont need and it doesnt help. could someone tell me what the deal is and how i might fix it? thanks

Try lowering the resolution or sound channels.

Or get a better gfx card, more ram and a quicker cpu

    Michael. out.

PS Also try copying audio to hdd and using the unofficial patches to get rid of rain and newspapers from streets etc.

First, try lowering the resolution so it brings down the load on the cpu. Make sure all your video, sound and whatever other drivers are up to date. I have a AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz with a Geforce 2 MX 64mb and it works fine.

If you read the readme, it says that there is a certain AMD chip that runs too slow a bus speed to run GTA3 correctly.
