When i boot a game i use the normal way and press X to start a game.
This don't always works, sometimes i have to try 10 times before it works.
when do i got to press X ??, before the tray closes, after it closes, do i got to press it once or hold down the X button??

Ahh - I remember being frustrated with that exact scenario too. You did leave out some important info needed to help you such as version of PS2 and version of AR2. I myself have a PS2 (Ver. 1) using Neo 2.2 with a Gameshark 1.1. I have had great success using the following method - 1. Always start with the PS2 powered off and the GS/AR disc in the PS2 ( this is important part). 2. Turn on the PS2 using the front panel ON/Reset switch. 3. Now just do the standard swap - Start Game / without codes. 4. Pay attention when you place your backup in the drive and press the eject button to close the tray (listen very closely to the sound of the drive) if you hear some noises a pause and then here a CLUNK sound the game will not boot. If you hear some noises a pause and then hear the drive spinning again the game will boot. If you get the CLUNK sound try opening and closing the tray again and listen. If you consistently get the CLUNK sound start over with GS/AR disc in the PS2 and power OFF (red light). The key to this working (at least for me) is starting with the GS/AR drive in the PS2 and the power off. I hope this helped - please let me know your experiences when you try this or if you need me to elaborate more. Good luck.
