Multiple Game Installation Problems

I've tried burning several games as of late. Battlefield 1942, Blood Omen 2, and Mafia 2 all come to mind. I've tried burning them all using the latest Nero, as well as blindwrite. They burn fine, however when I go to install them I get CRC errors.

Am I doing something wrong? Is it my burner? The software?

I get a similar problem. When I try to install Battlefield_1942-FLT it thinks data1.cab is missing.. but it IS on the CD.. a 6.5k file that seems to contain nothing. The exact error is:

"Specified component cannot be found in the media. An attempt was made to access a component that does not exist in the named media"

The writer I used to burn it is ACER 12x8x32 (lol shit i know, its not mine). Maybe this game has protection that needs a burner which can write correct efm patterns??
