Xbox demo disk not recognized?

I subscribed to the official xbox magazine and have gotten 2 issues so far (oct and nov) and both demo disks from those issues will not work on my xbox. I get a sign saying that the xbox does not recognize the disk as a game or DVD.

I though it was the disks at first so I requested a replacement and they sent it to me, but that disk does not work ether. Has anyone else had this problem? My console is still under warranty for about 31 more days, but I don’t know if the problem is my console. All the other games I have work fine (halo, tony hawk 3, amped, hunter, robotech)

Well...I'm assuming you have a mod chip in...

If not...who knows what the prob is...

BUT yes my oct. demo had problems loading up too...and when it finally did there was skipping issues...

My xbox has the enigmah (1st version) and the oct issue of xbox live's demo does not work. This has happened even b4 i got my xbox modded. sometimes the discs they send out are just crap.

My Xbox has a hard time reading these disks, but it eventually works.. Try opening/closing your cd tray a few times and see if that jump starts it. I have a diferent problem with the latest one though, most demos/movies only play bass from my speakers. I know this isnt a speaker problem.. Maybe because the cd doesnt support optical cords or something..

My roomates xbox is not modded and it had problems with that particular disc... so it probably isn't your modchip or anything just a badly mastered disc
