Default Searching for Group Install MIDI/mp3 files.

I'm compiling an archive of the best MIDI/MP3 files from Class, Myth, Paradigm, etc Installer programs for RIP games. I DO NOT WANT ANY GAMES, ONLY the MIDI/MP3 files that groups have packaged with their installers in the past.

I ESPECIALLY want Myth and Class songs, and especially the late 90s stuff like the songs included with the games Crimson Skies, Alpha Centauri, Heretic 2, etc.

Those 2 groups by far put out the best music (Myth and Class). Crimson Skies MYTH release has probably the best midi song ever made, I've been trying to find it on the net for months.

Whoever contributes and supplies their name will get credit for it if/when I ever post this archive on the net.

    Thanks a lot.

    Default song

    i love these songs too
    these songs are no MIDIS
most are chiptunes made with musictrackers .
    older installers had midis.
the class installer sound guy is called maktone.

just dump your memory with softice and get your songs.

    Default Ok

I tracked the specific one I'm looking for down to this link:

    http://members.easyspace.com/erekose/f_2000.html

Its the Myth installer halfway down the page they used for Flying Heroes (also Crimson Skies) and music for it is by Indy. ITS THE ONLY BROKEN LINK ON THE PAGE OF COURSE.

    GAH.

    The search goes on.

    www.scene.org

Either browse, or go through one of the mirror ftps, they have archives of music compiled.

Ize: Indy is not listed as an artist at ANY of these chiptunes websites, including yours, and he WAS listed in the music credits for the Flying Heroes/Crimson Skies installer.

Alex: scene.org doesn't list Myth, Class, or Paradigm as existing under Music. Indy likewise is not listed as an artist.

Many of these songs your after will be found in the old Amiga games (cracked of course) , they were mostly written on soundtracker/protracker or noisetracker and take up less than 100k.

ftp.scene.org has loads of old stuff on there (including several groups i was in and some of my old stuff too )

and finally heres some more links to keep any nostalgia freaks happy

    www.chiptune.com
    members.easyspace.com/erekose
    http://www.defacto2.net/scene-archive/

plenty to play with , thers another thread somwhere in the dark depths of the games forum here but finding it without the search would take more time than i got

    happy listening!

*edit* just found out that jesper kyd (ex kefrens on the amiga i belive) did the music for hitman 2 lol

    Default Hmmm

Most of these websites so far do not have group music listed, its all random Chiptunes by people no one has ever heard of.

I have wotw homepage bookmarked and got a few decent tunes from there, but I really want to find some myth installer musics. If anyone finds any or has any let me know.
