Ultima Online - alll the way,
Only game that's managed to keep me awake for up to 48hour bursts.
Overall I'd have to say Cinemaware's TV Sports Basketball on the Amiga.....thems were the days

Also kickoff on the Amiga was great.
On the pc, Quake2 and quake3.
I also think Fifa 2003 will rack up a few hours for me.
Looking forward to that one. I think the demo plays great.
Where are the votes for --
Dungeon Keeper 1+2 , Jedi Knight, Metal Gear 1+2
Here are some old school ones
Blue Max
Encounter
Ultima 1
Star Raiders
Ali Baba + 40 thieves
MULE
ect, ect..
The Wing Commander series was a biggie for me.
Mainly Ultima Online, with the Ultima and Wing Commander series coming in close runners up.
doom2 by far. I spent years playing non-stop on APCi BBSes.. Back then, nothing beat the excitement of playing 4 players on a 14.4oo modem.
Now, even 32 player quake3 bores me
I still prefer Doom deathmatch to QIIIA. Making Deathmatch maps was just too much fun and it only took a day instead of weeks with the QIIIA editors. Also, the fact that it could all fit in one WAD was so good. No need for all the extra crap you need today if you want to use a custom map.
the Grand Prix series, starting with 1 of course.. man.. those were the days.. 3 floppy disk, arj etc... schweet!
Also Half-Life (including it's mods and add-ons).
mmmmmmmmmm... i played Golden Axe A LOT, both on arcade then later with my first PC, that game was great!
Mine would be:
- Donkeykong
- Star Raiders (me too)
- Dynablaster
- XCom
- Ultima 7
- Doom
- Tekken series
I think it's... Moh:AA and Rollercoaster Tycoon a little bit addicted
Sid Meier's Golden Oldies (Civilization/Colonization/Pirates! Gold, not the REALLY old ones), Master of Orion I&II, Diablo I&II (mostly II), DooM I&II (still playing DooM Legacy). So many great games, so many good memories
Ahhhh...no doubt about it! The GP series!Originally posted by DaaT

Praise Geoff Cramond! Every time i get a new patch or an update for gp3 / gp4 i start playing it for hours and hours and hours...pure magic
Yes, that and the other Cinemaware games. Still remember the days of playing TV sports Football (brought my Amiga for that game!), that and some of their other games were classics!Originally posted by GrAC3R

Other then that used to spend countless hours playing Sensible Soccer, still one of, if not the best footy game ever!
Anyone remember the Midwinter games?.....Oh, and then there was Elite (and Frontier), they can never be forgotten!! Hmm....Lemmings too....the list goes on!
Subspace.
Been playing it for maybe over 3 years...Now I haven't played it 8 hours a day and such for a while, but I've been playing it pretty much everyday since I first downloaded it. (Free game, lots of fun, lots of settings, diff graphics, maps, people, chats, squads, etc.)
I couldn't agree with you more. I think I spent about 2 years with DEU(Doom Editors Utility), DeHacked, and all the other doom editing programs. I think another question on this topic is when did you play games the most. I played games aLOT in jr high, mostly doom. High school I didn't play much of anything, then the dorms prompted more gaming, but now it's more collecting than playing one particular game. No one game put out today matches games like doom, warcraft, etc. Simple games but that was part of the beauty.Originally posted by intalex

For me, it would have to be Sid Meier's Pirates and Civ 2, and I am sad to say it, I don't know if any of you remember a game for the NES called Bubble Bobble, but I played that game so much when I was younger, hell, I still pull out the old nintendo every once in a while to play it. Also, the diablo series got a lot of play time.
