I loved number 1, great fun on a LAN, but i think the games went down the toilet after thatOriginally Posted by Scottio200
Yea I stayed up to the wee early hours playing civilisation but fortunately I could eventually break the habit. Championship Manager is probably the most helplessly addictive game I have played. What's funny is I knew way less about football then than I do now. I haven't played it properly for a good few years cuz I know if I get into it it will be dangerous. PES has probably seen the most play but fortunately I only play it multiplayer so I always WANT to play it if that makes sense. I'm still in control, with Champ Man I was a mess.also civilisation, in old medieval times, when PCs weren´t born.
What's subspace btw?
Good thread :thumbs
Very true, I avoid CM games for the same reason. I love the Total War games, though, and they are equally life-sapping.
The PES games (on PS2 and now (thank god) pc) have probably had the most play. I feel like I should mention a game from my childhood in the eighties, but I had so many of the bloody things that I didn't play them for long at a time.
Oh, hang on.
Elite. That's my most played ever, by a looooooong way.

The console game I probably play most is Super Monkey Ball on the gamecube, quality game just can't put it down.
On the PC it has to be Command & Conquer Red alert, still enjoy it to this day.
For how often I would say the Unreal series....
Length of time actually playing tho would have to be DiabloII + Lord of Destruction... getting that Paladin up to level 74 was damn hard work!! Then I dont connect to Blizzard in over 6 months and find my character deleted
i think the games i've played most on the pc are the delta force games-notably 1 & 2, though i've never managed to save games halfway through a mission yet and it's a pain to have to start over again!:grr:
You can't be serious! Delta Force?!? Have you owned any other games lol. :tongue
I didn't play on elite but I did play on Frontier Elite and loved it, it felt way ahead of anything else at the time. Well, it was and coded mainly by only two people. As I recall it was David Braben and Ian Bell but apparently they had a big falling out (which stands to this day) and Ian Bell left the project but I can't remember if that was pre or post Frontier Elite II.
i'm deadly serious, i've played all the usual stuff like call of duty etc etc but just loved df for it's simplicity, don't forget we're all different and all like different stuff--i personally think frontier elite is a sad crap game but others like it so it's their choice
hmm it was " Day of the tentacle" the lame graphics, best gameplay i've ever seen
On each main format
C64 Elite/Impossible Mission
ST - Xenon
Amiga - Dungeon Master/Dune2
psx - SoulBlade/Wipeout
PC - C&C/Halflife/Homeworld
All of these have made me late for work, days unofficial holiday and just stop up all night, there is more but they are the main ones.. It just dont happpen nowadays, no games make me want to play as much as the above.

quake 3 urban terror! dont let the small name fool u! its the best and most addictive online game ever imho. ur missing out
Amiga: Kick Off series, Sensible Soccer, Champ Manager, Extreme Violence (that game was so great)
PC: Champ Manager / Football Manager, UT Series (had it in work for years, still not tired of it over the LAN), Pro Evo 4 (lunchtime games on the laptop)
PS1 / PS2: Pro Evo, Burnout 2 (prefer it to 3 multiplayer), Virtua Tennis 2, Track and Field (the PS1 version - still the best!)
i have played americas army online for the past 2 years and for a free game its really really good . u can get it at www.americasarmy.com .
delta-force 2 online was great, I liked it back then. (See that dot miles away? You can walk there)Originally Posted by nickmurphy

My most played game is enemy territory, I've spent loads of time enjoying this find me on 213.230.203.230:27961 if you're up for a game anybody
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...
Im afraid it has to be Grand Turismo 1, 2 and 3. I have probably spent more time playing this game in the last 5 or 6 years than I have doing anything else. I think I have actually become quite an expert.
Find it hard finding someone who can beat me! sounds like a chalenge
ps. i know i cant spell chalenge!
My favourite has got to be Need 4 Speed Underground 2 along with Stronghold

lol you seem to have taken my distaste for DF asa classic quite personally, I've never seen a game revied as sad and crap.i personally think frontier elite is a sad crap game but others like it so it's their choice
The Championship Manager series for me, and I'm sure for alot of people out there. If I had to narrow it down to just one version... cm 01/02... lots of fun times with that.
Others would Goldeneye, Final Fantasy 7/8 and Pro Evo Soccer.
Agreed, I still play it now! The most playable game ever imhoOriginally Posted by Seraldo
