    Default nero and cd burning

i burned some cds using nero (File...burn image... and burned using bin/cue). Once they were done i checked em to make sure they worked. They installed everything fine so I took em home and for some reason my machine doesnt think theres anything on the CD. First i thought it was because i had used a demo of nero so i went back and uninstalled it and installed a 'free' version, but the same result. Any ideas?

    signed,

    wtf is going on here

Maybe it's because you didn't finalize the CD. I don't know too much about this so I can't really help

when i load up a cue file in nero, the finalize box is checked and grayed out so that cant be it. maybe u didnt have the 'burn' box checked so all u did was close a blank cd.

I'd suggest that maybe you ran the burn in 'test only' mode, but you said you checked and "installed everything fine"... I take this to mean that you installed the program off that new CD?

Did you look at the bottom of it and see the burn line at the edge, so you know it actually recorded?

    Weird.

How about checking on a third machine.

I've heard about this before but don't remember the fix. It has to do with the cd only being able to be played on the cd-rw that burned it. I wish I could be more help!

That doesn't mean much unless you have one of the newer burners that actually let you do it.

...how old and what speed is your CD-ROM drive on your computer at home that you're testing this burnt CD on?

Also, you need to test this burnt copy on a 3rd unrelated computer. If it works on that extra PC, then it's your computer most likely. If it doesn't work on the extra one, it's the burn most likely. Good luck...
