    Default Remote Controlling my pc

I've got myself a laptop and want to control my pc via a network cable connected to the laptop, in essence extend the keyboard, mouse and mirror the monitor output onto the lcd display.
Someone must of made some software to do this but I don't know what its called!

Default The King of Remote Control and Win32 Admin

    Give DameWare a go.
It comes in two forms. Mini Remote & NT Utilities.

Mini remote control is desktop takeover pure and simple (as you requested) whereas NT is a complete Network Admin utility suite. (Which BTW comes with mini remote and an exporter tool)

Goto (url)http://www.dameware.co.uk/(/url) where a 30 day trial is available. Top Utility!

    Any questions PM me?

As already suggested by Jesta, although I'd go for a slightly more secure version called TightVNC.
Again, it is freeware, can be installed by a semi-trained lab rat, and is available from here
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

I would stick with PC Anywhere - once you set it up it works like a treat.

VNC can update a bit to slow for my likeing.

If the desktop is Windows XP Professional based you're already cooking, just look into Remote Desktop.

Yewh remote desktop might be ok but its about as secure as a welsh sheeps arsehole at a welsh farmers convention.
