    Thanks 4 your reply,

As far as i am aware the cookies are enabled. I am using IE5. I tried to install IE6 but a message came up saying that not all components could be installed.

you've checked the proxy settings (tools - internet options - connections - lan settings) - they're all blank or is one of them populated?

are you getting any other messages after it says it cannot open the page??

what version of windows are you running

turn that off anyway - i see youre running ME so that answers that..

do you have the use ssl 2.0 / 3.0 option turned on in internet options..

are you using any proxy software, personal firewall software, internet acceleration software or anything like that?

i'm guessing this is a home machine connected straight to the net..

Yes the use ssl 2.0 / 3.0 options are turned on in internet options..

As far as i am aware I am not using any proxy software, personal firewall software, internet acceleration software or anything like that? The only thing running is virus protection.

    Cheers
