    Vegatarian recipe needed

I need a vegatarian recipe, one thats easy to make but looks impressive. This will need to be a starter and a main course. Can anyone point me in a direction of a website, or give me a recipe? Remember must be easy to make

I searched sites, but most of them seemed too complicated, or they used words that i didnt understand

    cheers

The problem with that is its so wide I wouldnt even know were to start looking. I would never make a meal for myself if it didnt have meat in it. Maybe I will stick to a pasta thing, that wont be too hard to make

    cheers

the best main course would be some kind of pasta dish, nice and simple. You could to Penne Carbonara or there's a courgette dish that i am sure will blow her away. its piss easy too.

    Fusili (bows) Dried Pasta
    Olive Oil
    1 Leek
    1 Clove of Garlic
    1 Large Courgette
    50ml Cream
    2 Handfuls of Parmesean
    Glass of White Wine

Cook the dried Fusili (bows) the packet instructions then set aside (drizzle a little olive oil in to keep it moist.)

Now, grab 1 leek, split it in half down the middle (lengthways) and give it a wash then chop it finely.

One clove of garlic and thinly diced then crushed with the back of the knife.

Cut the ends of the courgette and then grate using a normal cheese grater (box grater) on the biggest setting.

Grate the cheese wiith the smallest setting on the grater

Put some olive oil into a large frying pan or medium sauce pan over a low heat. When the oil has heated up (oil should not be crackling, it's too hot if it is) add the leeks and sweat off for about 2-3mins. Now add the garlic and sweat for a further minute. Chuck in the courgette at this point and sweat for about 10mins. Now turn up the heat a little and chuck in a glass of white wine. This should make a louse sizzling noise at first then cook for a further 5mins until you can not smell the alchahol anymore. Reduce the heat back down a little. At this point chuck in the pre-cooked pasta and stir in a good dash of cream. Finaly turn off the heat and cuck in the cheese. Mix this around until the cheese has melted and serve.

Let me know if this is to technical and i will think of something easier. These are my own recipes so im a bit vague on the measurements im afraid

    i'm working on a starter

You're prolly better off with soup, in which case a Leek and Potato or Carrot and Corriander will go down a treat!

for cooking I buy boxes (5litres) of wine called Soave .. You can buy this in bottles. You can use the same wine as you cooked with. The better the wine the better the taste.

Wine at the table is really to your own taste. Personally I love a glass of Sauvingnon Blanc. Its medium dry and very fruity. Stay away from fizzy wine, blue nun, black tower and leibframilch. Good ones are Pinot Grigio, Soave, Frascatti or chardonnay.

Make sure she will drink normal wine, because if not your going to have to hunt around for a vegie version...

firstly, excellent to see you back lee, its been too long m8 hope all is well.

as for vegetarian food, i wouldnt touch it with a bargepole but here goes.

    starter
new covent garden tomato & basil fresh soup (in a carton from the fridge section of the supermarket)
served with garlic bread (either pre bought or make your own with a french stick some olivio marge and a generous covering of schwarz garlic bread seasoning)

    main course
1 pack of fresh made pasta (boils in 4 mins )
2 tubs of sainsbury's 4 cheese pasta sauce (boils in 4 mins )
a small block of fresh grated parmisan cheese

add a small number of sun dried tomato's to the sauce while heating to give it some colour.

serve with a fairly sweet white wine (pref italian)

she'll love u forever, it takes about 30 mins total cooking time and requires 3 pans and an oven tray.

for desert i'd reccommend staying with the italian theme buy going with a defrosted frozen sainsbury's tarimasu (get it out of its container whilst its still frozen onto whatever you are serving it with then just before you serve it give it a quick squirt with spray cream and sprinkle it with a badly beaten cadbury's flake so it gives it that home made look.

then its upstairs and shag her brains out

hope that helps, its as easy as i can think.
