    does anyone know if this phone is tri-band or not

    i have looked on the nokia site and it says that it is a world phone but i have been told by people that it is not

    any help would be brill

    Hi,

    8850 is dual band, works on 800Mhz and 1800Mhz frequencies.

    There's also an 8890, which people mistaken for a tri band phone, which works on 900 and 1900 Mhz, making it dual band too.

    Neither are tri band.
