Can anyone tell me the final release number for the x-ecuter 2 bios for v1.1 that will allow yboxdash to load if chip is on , but if chip is off it will load the original msdash (hope that makes sense ) also do u need to lock new hdd for original dash to load ? cheers

none of the official releases boot ydash, if I remember correctly, it boots evox, then nexgen, then xboxdash.

If the chip is off, then it will automatically try to boot xboxdash, so rename your evox to evoxddash, then rename the original dash to the original name, xboxdash. Get xecuter 4974, it's the latest, but you can get 4973, no difference, just that 4974 works with both 1.0 and 1.1

i have done that, i have 3 dash.xbe on my c drive, 1 is evodash.xbe 2 is xboxdash.xbe and 3 is yboxdash.xbe...so i dont need yboxdash ?. even so when i switch from evo dash to xboxdash it works fine. If i turn chip off and try to boot i get the red / green flashing light..any ideas ?

Update:
All is well, i locked the hdd and now everything works as it should
