that would all depend on what type of training your doing.
by the weight of you, i'll guess that your a bodybuilder?
you are what you eat, so what are your aims?

How the beejeezus have you got this big without not knowing how much protein you should be eating?
you must have been doing something right.
basically, it all depends on what works best for yourself. they reckon that between 1.5 and 2.5 gramms of protein per body pound, should be consumed per day. so for you you weigh 17 and a half. thats 245 pound. which means you should be having at least 367.5 gramms of protein a day to bulk up. not all of it liquid (shakes). it is also suggested that your body cant absorb any more than 30 gramms of protein in one meal. i personally think that this is rubbish, yet, in the days of arnie (and some competitive bodybuilders still do it now, they beleive this, and have either a meal, or shake every 3 hours to spread out their protein, even setting their alarms to get out of bed 3 hours on the dot every time. crazy.
as for the carbohydrates, for bulking, anything goes, just make sure that you have enough to keep yourself going, and your laughing. carbs depends on your metabolism, and your workout. and if you train hard.

well m8 its something to do with stopping smoking i think, i have piled the weight on since last new year when i stopped i have a little body fat but like i said i only want to bulk up this year. Thanks for the advice m8 as its very helpful, as you might be aware maths is not my strongest pont and i have always meant to read into this subject but i have never got round to it. I just make sure i eat alot of protien ie tuna, chicken, turkey slices and get my carbs from potatoes, pasta, rice and rice pudding :slurp: plus have a protien shake twice a day and it seems to work for me..
    thanks again..
