Kazaa

I have just started using Kazaa and am a bit p***ed off.

I have download about 4 things now and they have not been what i expected.

Has anyone else experienced this as my last one was 170MB which to ages on a 56K link.

Kazza is really bad for this sort of stuff which is why I no longer use it get yourself onto the DF direct connect hub at least there you know the files you are downloading are what they say they are

Kazaa's not so bad - but you have to use some judgement on what you download - if 16 people have it and all the file names are the same - theres a better chances its OK.

If 4 people have it and 3 have it as one thing and 1 has it as another - chances are its not what your think.

Movies are easy as you can view MPG's as they download by copying the dat file and playing it and AVI's with AVI preview.

For previewing any movie files, whilst they are downloading even .. check out www.videolan.org.
No copying files or renaming dats required , just load up a .dat file and watch it.

ah depends what you are downloading. If its movies i wouldnt use kazaa if my life depended on it, use irc instead. Music kazaa has to be the best that i know off. Just make sure you get the lite version at kazaalite.com
