XBOX Mod question

Hi, I am quit a newby and an n00b on Xbox modden and stuff, but i have a question.

have just ordered the Xecuter2 Lite for my xbox. But do I need anything else, beside that chip, to play copied games on my xbox.
I hear, see, everyone talking about Evox dash and so on. Do I need that to play games or is it just a handy "add-on".

What do I need the Evox Dash for?

Evox dashboard is a replacement for the MS dashboard with your clock settings etc on it - is for playing game from your Xbox Harddrive or running apps or getting an IP address so you can make your own backups. Without it you can play games and backups but you cannot make your own backups or use the Xbox as a mediaplayer etc etc.
