Default do i need to reaplce the fuse?

there was something wrong with my power ribbon cable and it caused my ps2 to turn on and off very rapidly and eventually it just stopped working. I replaced both the power supply and the power ribbon cable but my ps2 still doesnt power on. the red light on the reset button doesnt even turn on. do i need to replace the mainboard fuse? how can i tell what needs to be fixed?

Thing is mate that there is in fact LOADS of fuses on the PS2 mainboard. They look like little black cubes, about 4x4mm's in size and usually have a marking on them like 30 or 50.

You'll need to meter then with a Ohm meter to see which one ( if any ) is/are blown. To replace them you'll need to de-solder the blown one and solder in a new one of the correct value.
