Pug 106 battery help

was coming home on the motorway and noticed the Battery light was very dim,

so when i got home, i checked the alternator belt (which was changed like 4 weeks ago), it was tight and looked ok.

with engine on while stationary, when i give it revs, battery light goes out, when idling battery light is still very dim

i checked the battery with volt meter and i got:

Car on: 12.24V
Car off: 12.33V

is the battery starting to die? or can it something else?

hi bud looks like your alternator. is on the way out.
get a test done free at a garage..

i'd say it's the alternator as well
i don't know if this is rellavent but i have seen alternators die because of the belt being over tight it wrecks the bearings which i presume wrecks the bushes because of bearing play

just a thought with you saying you only had the belt replaced 4 weeks ago
