    Default Any experts please help...

I've got a PAL Cube connected through RGB cable to my TV and I'm very satisfied with the output quality. I also took a FreeLoader 1.06b (mainly to play Metroid Prime US). Now I'd like to switch my Cube for a modded Q, but as we know, it doesn't output native RGB... what if I buy a component modified cable? Does it really output a true RGB? Or maybe another high quality solution (not component or S-Video)? Also, through a such modified cable, will I be able to view my 50Hz games in color? I tried some 50Hz games on a friend's Q (S-Video connection) and they were black&white... thanks to everyone who could help

First problem is Component is not the same as RGB, unless you have a high spec machine, your TV probably does not take Component...

Sorry not sure about the rest of your questions, but your probably going to want to get a moded RGB cable...
Try Gentoo, the linux source distro...
Currently Playing: Viewtifull Joe (GC), Mario Kart : Double Dash (GC), Mario & Luigi Superstars (GBA).

No, my TV doesn't manage the component signal, so I'd like to buy an official component cable modified to output RGB... also, is it possible to watch DVD-Videos through such a connection? If yes, is the quality somewhat affected? (I read something like that elsewhere)

only progressive scan games are working with the cable , I think.

Iv you have a nice monitor you have a nice quality screen if not don't bother buying one

The modded cable on the Q is for rgb dvd playback only.....the best game quality you can get is s-video.....which is mighty fine as it is......as long long as you dont use composite your pic will good enough.

i've mentioned this before, but it seems appropriate here too, i'm running my jap cube using my pal psu and pal official rgb scart lead, god knows how its working, but it does, i get the occasional screen glitch sometimes but normaly it runs without problems with or without freeloader.

my tv does not have progressive scan but does have 50/60Hz and pal/ntsc input (it has rf as well but i've nothing plugged into it )

Thanks ABCMan, but I wanted to try my official RGB cable with a friend's 'Q'... only to discover that there's no Analog AV-Out socket like regular Cubes, only the Digital one... other chances are S-Video and composite (RCA plug) so the only way to do it is the modified cable... sigh
