Does Boxgetpc2 work with a 3.58MHz Zeus?

Hi,

I'm having no luck at all reading the boxkeys from 2 ROM11 cards.

It returns the revision and cam id but I always get a backdoor error before it gives me the boxkey.

I am using a Zeus 3.58MHz programmer, what I am looking to find out is if anyone has managed to read a ROM11 with this progger.

I have a variable regulated PSU and I have tried using numerous input voltages, ranging from 12-18V.

Any advice would be appreciated

i have a phoenix programmer with a 3.68 crystal and i have never got boxgetpc2 to read a rom 11. could anyone confirm weather the software actully can read rom11 cos i tryed about twenty and have had no luck so far

i fink boxgetpc2 is for rom7 cards lads correct me if i am wrong

boxget2 will read rom 11 with 3.58 xtal
if your having problems with your interface i would take a closer look at the power supply not the xtal

Works for me mate but had to mess around a lot. I just use my ID programmer now cos it is less hassle.

you dont need some sort of new progger to read with boxget my phoenix dont do it even after changin xtal? yet the vxmulti did it no prob and various other (old) phoenix proggers i have tryed latley 3.5xtals, have had no probs somtimes it may be down to your setup(pc) or h\ware.proggers,leads,ect? or maybe your brain???lol.

Hi booboo,

I don't think its a problem with my PC as i've tried all 3 PC's in the house, on XP, 98 and 95.

Regarding the backdoor error - could this be down to ntl/tw closing the backdoor, i only thought this applied to ROM10's though. Can someone confirm please.

One of my ROM11's read "blacklisted" in the engineers menu.

p.s. there is nothing wrong with my brain
