anti piracy

can any 1 tell me if the new pc games have antipiracy software that stops you copying them. and you have to keep the disk in ur cdrom drive like a games console. because my max payne game does this and the cheats dont work?

You have to be a bit carefull when discussing BACKUPS of software you already own.

But yes you are right - it varies from title to title but a lot of games have safedisc 2.0 or similar protection - if you make a backup you must usally download a NO CD or safedisc remover to allow the backup to work. I suggest a search on the net for the game title + backup + no cd or similar.
