i have a 48x cd writer which burns at 40x with traxdata cds which are labelled as 40x
yet it only burns at 24x with datawrite (datasafe) cds which are labelled as 40x
anyone know of a reason or way round this

some writers look at the media u are using and determine the fastest speed all by them self, so if it says its gonna write em at 24x even though they are not then tough m8 theres not a lot u can do about it , u are not alone my yamaha 44x will only do 16 x on some 32x datasafes i have.
oh and by the way i am gonna go get me some traxdata now thanx to your post, cheers m8.
Disable SmartBURN, that will stop the writer from analysing the media and setting a speed limit (you may end up with coasters though if the media cannot keep up).
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it
