    Default cable modem mac id

    im buying a new modem as i wanna run 2 modems off 1 coax using a splitter, but how can i add a 2nd modem mac address? i am on blueyonder by the way

    I beleive that if you go to BY's website there is the member option to add up to 5 MAC addresses for a single account.

    Simple answer. You can't...yet.

    For this to be possible, you would have to clone your existing modem. Details such as MAC address, serial number etc would have to be copied onto the new modem.

    This has been done but the information is not public yet
