Metroid prime PLEASE help

right guys, really need some help from some of you dood who have done this bit.

ok here goes.

right i walk out a door to a cutscene, then there is a big flower thing with some fckuin monster inside.

now i know you have to shoot the shields that are shining the light on his and thus regenerating him, but what i NEED to know is this.

once i have shot them all and morph balled in the hole and blew it up the fckuin thing comes back to life after getting light from the shields, so i shoot them all again, but when i have shot them all whatever i throw at the twat wont do it an damage at all, its health is almost full and not gettting any lower.

then i die, so guys

after shooting all the sheilds how the fcuk do i kill the monster.

as u can imagine this is REALLY getting to me now as the save point is a bit away from this and i keep on having to do it all again and again.

any help would REALLY be appreciated guys

yeah i was just looking at the walkthrough on gamefaqs m8 as to be TOTALLY honest when i posted the plea for help i honestly forgot about lookin on gamefaqs for a walkthrough, weird as this is usually the first thing i do when im stuck.

anyway ill have to put the game back on to TRY find out the name of the level and place im in.

but still guys if anyone knows who has done this part then still feel free to throw your tuppence in, as the walkthroughs are just the way THAT particular person did it, someone else might know a few better tips or summit.

I think that once you get the sun dish things all turned on you have to turn into the ball and head inside of him down one of the tunnels where his tentacles are and drop bombs in there.

I remember it was a pain getting all dishes on to him to stun him but pretty easy to get the bombs in there

its when they turn on that they rejuvenate him, so i need to turn them off dont i????.

anyway when i shot the very first one i turned into the ball went down the tunnell and blew it up, then the rest of the dishes activated and brought him back to life.

so now when im running round whenever i try get near a tunnell as the ball i get whipped away by one of its tenticles.

to be honest i havent looked at the walkthrough yet as ive not played it since posting this, but im sure it will tell me in there what i need to do, its one tough shite tho aint it.

oh and as im running round its head lands on the floor in front of be blocking my path making it harder the ****

iirc:

the first time you just have to do one, then bomb him from the inside. The next time you'll have to close two (both closed at the same time). Then bomb. Then three at once, bomb, then all four, bomb.

btw you MUST be fast, i.e. try not to get hurt while "flipping" sun dishes and keep on movin' around.

I managed to do it a couple of days ago. Having shot one of the dishes with a missile, you need to shoot him so he's stunned and then get round to the other ones (when he's stunned, he doesn't attack you and doesn't knock the mirrors back down). I found doing this fastest if I morphed into the ball. Also, when he stops being stunned, you get a small amount of time with him attacking you to keep moving before he hits the mirrors back down. Whilst he's attacking you, shoot him with a couple of missiles. I think that was enough to stop him. Then continue to the next mirror and shoot that. There are four tunnels leading to the centre, each with a root growing out of them. Each time you get all of the mirrors facing away from him, a root will die back. You then need to roll down to the end of that tunnel and do a bomb to destroy it. Each time you do this, he comes back with one extra mirror and you have to do the same thing again until you have done all four mirrors at the same time, when he'll be dead and you get the upgrade. Hope this helps.

shit yeah ill say

that exactly what i wasnt doing, whe ni stunned him i just carried on shooting aqt him to try kill the *******, i didnt even look at the tunnels, and the 1 and only time i DID look at the tunnels i got whipped away, but there was obviously still a mirror in place.

It's quite easy, you just have to know the pattern.

I'll exlpain the last bit with all 4 dishes turned on.
All I did was shoot the monster loads, he'll then get stunned by your blasts. You can then turn off the first dish. While he's still stunned run round to the second dish. He'll start to come round, so shoot that crap out of him again so he'll be stunned. Now switch off the second dish.

Repeat this untill all four are switched off

As with all the bosses, it's all about learning the pattern.

Personally I found the next boss harder (the rock dude).
