for a cable modem - and to keep it simple, just include the 802.11b standard. I know there are plenty of reviews out there but it be interesting to hear what people think of their own products.
There's an interesting thread on ADSL routers and security below. Is SPI really necessary for a home user who doesn't bother with mapping to internal machines and uses a decent software firewall for outgoing packets? Doesn't NAT at least provide basic firewall capabilities?
I recently bought a Belkin and have seen a few threads on resetting and overheating down the line, so haven't really decided to keep it yet. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
