    Default Networking with dynamic IP

If I were to network my BTOpenworld BB (leave it alone!) conn through a hardware router and feeding 2 or more PC's, would I need a router with a DHCP server as my IP addy is dynamic?

What parameters does the router need to make it work with dynamic IP?

No the external interface will be dynamic, but internally all machines will have a static IP address in one of the reserved ranges.

The router needs to have NAT, IP Forwarding, IP Masquerading etc etc but all this will come with a router.

Look for Aidos posts on how to convert some locked router into a really good one

Thx mate.. figured this was the case...
Network + certified, but never actually physically set up a network. The problem with education these days. No practical experience, which is why I'm setting one up now. Forcefeed myself the theory in practice

I'm getting an Efficient Networks 5861 DSL router, which has the lot and everything else as well... Will check Aidos post for unlocking it once I have it...

    Should manage fine... thx again
