Data Retrieve
Does anyone know of a app that can get back data once it has been deleted from the machine. I think the police use it do search dodgy hard disks.

The one the police use is called Encase Data Forensics (it does work very well indeed).
If you are looking to get data back yourself then give Easy Recovery Pro (by Ontrack) a go.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it
Agreed. OnTrack Recovery 6 can do a very good job.
http://www.ontrack.com/freesoftware/ is where you can find a free trial which though will not actually recover the missing data, it will tell you what (if any) data the full version could get for you.
Give it a try and see if it will do the job for you. I have the Professional version here and would be willing to help you out in whatever way I can.
