    Default ftp problems

Can any one suggest any ways of speeding my transfer rate from my PC to Xbox, currently it is taking about 1/2 an hour to transfer 700mb divx to hard drive. I've been told it should be a lot quicker.
    i'm using Flashftp.

what speed is you network ? - get a 100mb card if its only 10mb - check change your cable also if the card is already a 100mb - check duplex settings etc.

it is more than likely your cable.

I have a router setup here and when i transfer from my PC to my XBOX i get 600kbps which is slow as hell!

When i transfer from my laptop I get 7-10meg a second! which is bloody fast

Test different cables to see which one is best.

Nothing to do with the cable.

isn't it more to do with the speed of the DVD drive? IMHO this is where the bottleneck would be!

    700mb divx to hard drive

Good point - not in this case though > no DVDrom involved.

It's nothing to do with the cable because I crimped it and tested it! Sent my network engineer around to sort it. Network is just not set-up properly or network card is fcuked.

His around their now so should be sorted very soon.
