Dolby digital 5.1

Can anyone tell me which PPV channels are broadcasting in Dolby digital 5.1.
How can you tell the difference between Pro logic & 5.1 ?
(have fitted optical fibre lead)

depends on how you have connected it all, my amp will switch automatically to 5.1/6.1 etc if thats what the optical signal gives, no real way to tell unless you have a decoder amp / dsp connected as the main speaker sound (ie the front L + R) is pretty much the same on Dolby Pro Logic, 5.1 and 6.1.

Dont forget you will only get Dolby Pro logic ( still better than stereo) if you dont have a s�y + reciever.:erm

Premier World broadcast some PPV in DD5.1, don't they? I'm sure they used to.

Quite correct, but unfortunately only in German, if that's any use! Don't know of any in English, unless you're referring to $ky, in which case, I have no idea!

FWIW - I think I saw somewhere, possibly 5e or 1W, a test card anouncing DTS tests starting shortly!

I'd have thought that if your a/v receiver was set on dolby digital and connected through the optical lead then you'd either get dolby digital or nothing...
