Just a little confirmation please

Ok then, I've got my CAM, BoxKey and Cam key. The card is a ROM RevA16. But the EEPROM screen shows "0000 etc" in the E010 field. Now, as I understand it this means the card is Marked?

I know this is probably a stupid question but does that mean locked?

If it is should I be using backdoor buster to unlock it?

Also in the Data Editor field it shows Loads of "free space [256]". Does this make any difference.

I am trying to learn and getting there slowley, so please don't slag me off if the questions have been covered. I have searched but have come across a few conflicting views.

PS. Would it be easier to just buy a funcard4 and do it that way???

if the card is a reva16 it is NOT lock. if it were locked you would not be able to read it at all (eg to see if it was marked or not).

i think there are usually a couple of 'free spaces' on the card.

as the card is not locked i would suggest you DONT put it back in the data stream as this may cause it to be updated (locked).

you have all the info there to make a funcard.
