    Odometer advice

    Hi there,

Looking for the best/most efficient way to do this. Ive seen the dedicated hardware sites, but they are way too expensive for me at the moment.

Ive seen people say that the Laptop software is not very good, could anyone elaborate? And tell me why? And (if poss) point in the right direction so I can do my own research.

    Thanks, help much appreciated.

    try these

    CDH

    Dashfixer

    Digiprog

    Revtech

I use lappy stuff from CDH and while it cant do as many diagnostically as the german stuff, it has the advantages of the radios aswell and has and has always had good utility s/w for copying dumping and editing eeprom data

My friend uses digi-prog II (yo bro if ye looking in ) and the coverage on diagnostic dashes especially german cars is far superior

    Default only radios?

Hi Craig, nice to hear from you.........are you saying the CDH radio stuffs better than the Joules stuff we are offering for free?

Last time I checked CDH stopped making new radio software and told customers there was no time for radios.

    Hi Jim

I am saying that if you have a limited budget and want to start in both radio's and dashes the the "SCHOOL OF HARKNOCKS" cdh kit is a good starting point-lets face it if you can use there software (as I did) you can use anything!

What's the deal with the free joule decoders? as I've just bought a full system from them at just shy of £5500!

    cheers

    Default What gear???

Iv posted a "retort" in the other discussion about my experience with CDH Vs Dashfixer gear.

As a customer of Jim's now I got free radio decoding at the end of the phone, obviously not for all.

Now Im being offered to buy the Ford decoder, the Phillips decoder, the Bluapunkt decoder and a Ford unlocker for £........., better not upset you too much Dashdoctor, haha. Lets just say its about 85% cheaper then your new kit.

Just seems to me that Jim is a rare kinda bussiness guy that actually cares about his customers and wants then to do well.

Keeps makin me richer and richer Jim.

    Cheers..............Sparky (Manchester)

    Hi Sparky

    cheers
