Hacked Firmware Instal???

Hey guys took your advice and just purchased a pioneer dvd burner, just got done ordering it. Was wondering about the hacked firmware and what exactly it does? Would like to instal this if it is supposed to help me with my back ups. The exact model specs on the dvd burner are as follows

The hacked firmware allows you to burn cheap 1x speed disks at 2X speed.

I use RecordnowMax software to burn.

use this new firmware from gradius

works great with g03's not had a problem yet and the unlocked rip speed is pretty good too, rips films in minutes

is there a hacked firmware for an A03 aswell, ive only ever burned at 1x since i got my writer a long time ago, but wouldnt mind trying 2x if they work

O.k, so if i decide not to go with the hacked firmware i will just be able to burn at slower speeds correct? Also is it necessary to just back up your games with dvdr's or dvdrw's. Was the dvd burner I purchased a good one? Anyone in the U.S. with a thompson dvd drive in xbox point me in the right directions for media dvdr's dvdrw's that i can use to back up my games with, original games. Thompson drives have no problems with DVDR or DVDRW , they do howover have problems with Cdrs and most cdrws.

you'll still be able to burn at slower speeds, the hack just lets you have the option of burning at a higher speed if the media is able to.

the burner you got is the best -r/-rw model on the market as of now.

as for media, i can't say anything because i have a Philips drive. Although I can tell you what worked for the philips; HP +RW didn't work on that, but Fuji (TaiyoYuden) DVD-R worked just great.

The hacked firmware from gradius adds the following options to an a05/105

12x dvd rip speed - only on pressed dvd's NOT dvdr's
2 x recording speed on ritek g03
RPC-1

Did mine with version 1.31 hacked and have never looked back since
