Freeserve DSL Modem
just signed up with freeserve now that broadband has been enabled in my area..
was just wondering what modem they provide?
checked the site and i cant see it anywhere in the bb info section.
it was free so im not bothered, just wanna know if its any good or if im looking at buying something else?

I used Freeserve broadband when it was launched and they used the same dsl modem as bt openworld did which was the alcatel speedtouch one.
I would think this would still be the same but I am not 100% sure

I would think that you will end up with either the Alcatel "Stingray" or the Alcatel 100, they are both USB devices and both $hite IMO.
Have a look around E-Bay for a 5861, they can be had for anywhere between £50 - £85 inc.
If you can justify the outlay, then it will be the best investment you have ever made.

Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it
they no longer give the frog to customers.... you get a nasty silver thing which is rather tall.
they now give the copperjet 800 adsl modem which is the nasty tall silver thing
I got the speedtouch 160 i think, a small little dark red thing. Works perfectly, why would you want to change it ?
I game allot and it pings perfectly and i download at max speed as well. My connection lasts for as long as my pc is turned on for.
Where would the problem be ?
