    Default WinTV + consoles

its not as much of a prob as more of a pain in the arse

i have a PCI WinTV card (quite old now but still works fine) i can hook up my arial and watch normal tv fine and i hook my camcorder up and use it as a web cam perfect but i hooked a console up (my xbox) and the screen seems blured and sort of blocky)

it was connected via the phono port teh same port i use to connect my camcorder

im guessing it was because of all the gfx in the games that the tv card couldnt cope as well

im wondering if any 1 has had a prob like this and knows how to fix it...would a new tv card be better or would better s/w do the trick

the computer is a decant spec so its got plenty of mem and cpu to cope

main reason i want to use this is not to play but take screen shots but cant if it appers like that (or does any 1 know a better way to take screen shots ) (from xbox and ps2)

(ps wasnt sure where to stick this so in it goes here)

hope the info can help you help me

    ta in advance

Cam. - watching as a blured tony hawks jumps..... oh wait i just need sleep

(17:18:34) (+Cam) i need to mount my xbox hdd in linux
(17:19:02) (+SpikeWork) youth of today, they'll mount anything

    Hi Cam,

Sounds like you have a problem with too low voltage going to the WinTV input. Is is possible to try a different cable?

You get this sort of problem if your phono cable is too long as well as the voltage weakens with longer lengths!

    Default sounds stupid

mabee, if you take a footage with your camera by facing the camera at the tv and recording the xbox in motion or ps2 or even better if the camera has video input then the output of the ps2 can go into the camera and record the scene and then take it to your computer and take the prints on to it the way you would normally do try print screen im not a expert on how to store it on the pc
