Can anyone help.I'v got a M.S.I mainbord..A.M.D duron.The
thing is i had xp pro..now my m8 put 98 on but now i cant
get any sound as my sound card is onboard and dont know
how to find out what driver it is..I'v got a disc called
drivers & utilities with the pc but when i put it in and
click on sound..nothing.Thanks lads for your help.

open up device manager (right click my computer, clcik properties. devices) there should be somthing with a ? mark by it, probably will mention sound in name. open the properties page for it. find the option to update, and tell it to search the cd. should find and instll the drivers.
sorry my advice is not to acreate, been ages since i used win 98
Cheers m8 for the reply..still no luck i'v been told by someone that
i'v got to put another win 98 on as the one i'v got wont get me
sound..they said they read it in the mannual..but i aint sure.

they might mean you need win98 second edition, alot of newer stuff needs second edition.
Have u tried using windows update??
Know it seems like a long shot but they do include a section called drivers. Aint used it in 98 but i presume it will work all the same.
Altertantively could visit MSI website and search for your mobo, generally they have all drivers & manuals listed...
