it's not a software solution, but submit it to www.dmoz.org
a lot of the search angines draw from here, so it can be quite a good way of getting in. Other than that, i don't know of any good free submission software.
Remeber that most of them, such as google, you can submit to manually. Not ideal - but it is free

yahoo.com
altavista.com
And after they are approved (might be a while) you will start getting spidered a lot more
