    clear the CMOS, though you will lose all you bios settings and have to re-enter.

    He cannot clear the CMOS it's a laptop.

    Not sure how you can do it if the dongle doesn't work

    Toshiba website gives the following info

    How do I delete a BIOS Password?

    For all Notebook and Desktop Equium range of PCs:

    The machine has to be returned to a Toshiba Authorised Reseller or Toshiba Authorised Service Provider who will remove the password as a chargeable service.

    Default Boot floppy ! :)

    If there is a floppy drive on this laptop, try that, it worked for me on a old satellite ...

    http://b0.b0.free.fr/download/toshiba/toshiba.exe

    DO NOT BE SCARED, THIS FILE IS CLEAN, AND IT'S AN AUTO EXCTRACTIBLE FLOPPY ....

    That's a floppy with 2 byte changed on the boot sector ...

    This floppy has to be in the drive when turning on the laptop ! =)

    Tell me if it worked for you ...

    Sorry ... If this doesn't work :

    Bypass the Toshiba Power On BIOS password

    This method works on almost all models. You need an empty formatted diskette, A second computer and a hex-editor:

    Start the second PC and start the hex-editor;

    Put the disk in drive A:

    Change the first five bytes of sector 2 (boot sector is sector 1) to: 4B 45 59 00 00 <- That can be done with Hex WorkShop !

    Save it! Now you have a KEYDISK

    Remove the disk from drive A:

    Put the disk in the Toshiba A:drive;

    Start the notebook in Boot Mode (push the reset button)

    Press Enter when asked for Password;

    You will be asked to Set Password again. Press Y and Enter.

    You now see the BIOS configuration where you can set a new password.
