Wonder if any of you guys can help me on this one, its got me stumped.
Quick background: I used to run an FTP server on my pc behind a router being fed from my NTL cable modem. My Server was in passive mode with the internet IP address assigned and ports forwarded on the router for both the passive connections and the server. (hopefully that makes sense, basically 20-21 and 50000-50100 forwarded to my 192.168.0.3 address)
The router assigned local address by DHCP and all this worked fine.
I've now moved areas and cant get cable hence I'm with plus net and now use a netgear dm602 modem and the RP614 router.
I cant get the DHCP to work on more than one PC so I assign manual local IP addresses.
This is my problem, no matter what configuration I try, wether it be port forwarding on the modem, router or both, I cant get the outside world to connect to my FTP server. (also having same probs getting a 'high' connection with any emule servers).
So something is wrong with my port forwarding config I guess?
anyone have similiar probs with this setup?
cheers guys
