Default snes rom - snes cart?

well, just wondering what the best way of doin this was, thought it might be fun to play chrono trigger, ff6 etc on the actual console :]. I know that you can just replace the eprom, or you can get the reader/writers, but i dont know where from, also, can you get USB ones? like you can for gameboy advance?

thx for ne info u can give

have a search for a UFO, it's a memory unit with a floppy drive on it. I binned one a few months ago (sorry) cos I don't have a snes.
You copy the image to your floppy disk and it just reads it in :o)
    Good luck.

    UPDATE:

found what sounds like the perfect solution, its called the Centaur32 and it was made by a company called Triad Data Backup Systems, basically, it writes snes roms to a 128mb flashrom cart, which then plugs into the snes cart provided and plugs directly into the snes console, no disk drive!!

only problem is, i'm having a bit of a hard time finding 1 :[

must admit i've never heard of that one

    ones to look for are
china coach ltd (ccl) pro fighter / db pro fighter series
front far east (ffe) super wildcard series
venus technologies Multi game hunter / multi game doctor / sf doctor
    other models include
    supercom partner, supercom twin
    ufo / super ufo

you can view pics of many of these units here http://home.wanadoo.nl/~da_schwein/

and of course if you are planning on sending the roms from your pc or you need any other utils (to fix headers, join/split roms, convert rom formats etc) then you'll need to visit here http://www.emucamp.com/red/index3.shtml which again includes details of most formaly available copiers.

an alternative you may consider is the cdrom based snes clone that plays the snes games directly off a cd.

if you need a copier you can still order them from the makers in some cases, i know ffe are still selling the super wildcard dx2 units at $190 from http://www.front.com.tw/english/E-home.htm

that should help you a little

more info on copiers here http://www.geocities.com/ipaidthebil...mecopier1.html mirrored here http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/backup/

the snes cd combo unit is called the gamestation whick you can buy from here http://www.lan-kwei.com/snesE/

that should get you sorted out

I may have a super pro fighter Q floating around somewhere... its got a 3.5 FD on the side, but i dont have the unit that connects the super pro fighter to the snes, also with no Parrallel port (if i remember right you can upload the games via your parallel port).

buy a xbox1 mate. modded and get an emulator disc with every snes game ever made on it. Easiest/cheapest way now i'd have thought.

I wonder if this thread will be resurrected in another 4 years.... where we'll then comment on how xboxes are as rare as mgh's are now ;) heheh
