E Bay password on NTL

Up until a few days ago I was using E Bay with no problem and then it started.....could not get into my account using my password....type it in,click on sign in and the password bit goes blank,only to do the same thing over and over again.
I was quite some time trying this and that...and then I contacted E.Bay on there live link help line.......it came back to say the problem is with NTL and to speak to them....so I did .

They got me to go into Lan settings and put in 8080 in the port settings and 62.52.128.6 in the address settings..whatever
This seem to get the E.Bay up and running again allowing me to get into my account,but if I uncheck the proxy server box the problem starts again.....and from what the people asy at E.Bay this is happining to others...any help on this Stewart

i had similiar problems with NTL getting into my work email, always had to use one of the ntl proxy servers, only way around it I think.

click on the secure login/sign in first (just below were you enter your password) then it will work

We had this problem...we phoned ntl and they gave us new servers...had no problem since....
