    Default college (back to)

i am 19 now and failed my GCSEs (no jokes plz)

so im thinking of going back to college but studing somthing in IT
    lets start from the start

right when i was in year 9

i was asked to make my slections for gcse causes
(back then i wanted to be a chef )

so they make u choose 2 choises and to back up choises

so i chose food and it (but as it was growing back then not every 1 could take it and it was set into alphabetical order my last name begins with a T so im screwed)

so i ended up with food history (my first back up choise) and RS (i did find rs bloody brill)
i went to college after leaving school and took a simple class in IT and maths (the it was an hour lession long had finished in 10 mins) (maths as a peice of piss as well )

so nip forward to 2003 again and i didnt get gcse in IT and got piss poor grades in all of um (but history thats a funny story i'll tell u some other time lol)

but now i wanna sort my life out and get back on track

but i DONT want to take a gcse in IT because it will be this is a spred sheet this is how u use publisher now this is how to save an img (boring) and this is how to download and extract bin and cue files of the l8est film ........

so i wanna go and do sum other stuff harder stuff but im not sure what because while i was at collage they got me a placement with a loacl pc repair so learnt all that shite from them (well its not hard is it)
so i no all the ins and outs of a pc just not "grades (or a bit of paper) to show it
    so getting back to now

    what can any 1 surest

(oh and u ppl who wanna take the rip cos i know your there about me needing to go back to infant school or n e thing or me being a studant DONT..... )

    Cam.

(17:18:34) (+Cam) i need to mount my xbox hdd in linux
(17:19:02) (+SpikeWork) youth of today, they'll mount anything

I was doing double A-level in ICT and an A-level in Design Technology last year but i had to pull out coz i almost died from a life threatening illness.

The ICT course was excellent, the following areas were covered:

    Web Design (frontpage)
    programming (vb)
    multimedia (Illuminatus opus pro)
    Accounting (sage line 50)
    Databases (Access)
    Presentation (powerpoint)
    Spreadsheets (excel)

There were more areas covered but i wasn't there for them.

If you already have experience with computing like you said then a course similar to this would be ideal?

i dunno if youve ever thought of uni, but it might be worth considering..

go to college for a year, get a qualification that enables you to go to uni after it(somewhere in an computer science dept, doesn't matter which course u get into), then after uve started uni, change course to a good degree in ur particular area of interest.. i've found that if you're already doing one course, no matter how shit, they will mostly let u transfer with no hassle.

    hope this helps.

if not, i hear burger king are hiring

i passed 4 of my gcse's (3xC and 1xB) then went to college doing AVCE in Information Technology for 2 years then walked straight onto a Software Engineering Uni course which i have now changed to Computing Science because i can be more specific on the areas i want to study - as said do a quick 1 year course and then move onto uni
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

cam, if you need a job to survive you might consider doing a course simlilar to an open university course, i realise that OU may be a little hard but there used to be an open college too i assume that its still running, it could be a solution as it would enable you to study at your own pace whilst still working (and therefore giving you money to exist).
