Default What wipes are right for TFT?

Where can I get some decent screenwipes for my TFT screen? Is it ok to use normal CRT wipes or can it damage the surface? Maplin sold me some general pc cleaning wipes and assured my they're safe for TFT.. but I'm not convinced!!

Hmmmmm.... over doing it on the pr0n downloads and your poor old TFT taking all the flak?

Well, if you ever buy a "product" from the Ann Summers shops you will find that they always try to sell you their "special wipes". I suspect this product is closely linked to your need!!!!!

I use Mansize Triple Ply 'Huge Shooter' Chest Wipes to mop up my jizz.........................................but for a tft screen, f**k getting special wipes, grab a hand full of tiolet roll (making sure its soft, strong and very long), wet it slightly so its damp and not wringing, then just wipe over any screen, TFT, CRT or TV. Removes all smears, jizz deposits, dried spit or food. Have a soft cotton cloth on stand by (or the under side of a t-shirt will do) to wipe over after to remove excess dampness.

I've been doing the above for years and never had any problems.

I find that Windolene and a j-cloth does the trick for my CRT monitor.

fingerprints are easy to get off.

Everytime someone goes to touch the screen punch em

But na - I use servisol and lint free cloth, does the job and cheaper than screen wipes.

I work for a leading wet wipe company. We make all kinds of wipes including baby wipes and skin cleansing wipes.
I had the same question you had, what are the best wipes to use on a TFT screen, having a TFT screen myself. After consulting our research and development department I was given alcoholic prep pads, the same pads that a doctor uses to prep you skin for an injection. The reason for using these is that you can wipe the dirt off the screen and the alcohol evaporates leaving no smears.
I know prep pads are not the easiest things to get hold of but you can get glasses lens cleaning wipes which are pretty much the same thing.
I hope this answers your question.
