Does anyone know how to do the 'Power shot' in Football Champ (World)?
I think only certain players can do it???

Bloody good question matey, I've only managed to pull it off a few times myself. I'm guessing that only your 'star' player can do it (the one that you select at the beginning just before/after you select your team).

Other than that, I have no idea at all...it almost seems to be random but maybe there is a certain combo that one needs to execute.

Great game though innit

Yeah thats it.
If you do it again can you post which player you was & which team?
Been playing it for about a week & still can't do it!

I used to be-able to do it in the arcade.

Hmm, well, according to http://www.klov.com "Super shot only happens in the last 30 seconds, if you are losing by 1 goal or tied, and only the team member you choose to play with kicks it."

However, there is a flyer for Euro Champ '92 at http://www.arcadeflyers.com which clearly shows a super shot being executed after just a couple of seconds (although this might have been mocked up).

The plot thickens...

I've seen something which says that the 'captains' that you chose before you play have different skills. I.E. Supershot, Speed, Skill or Aggression. :nowords:
So looks like we'll have to keep playing until we fluke it!

Hmm, I've never heard that one before m8. I completed it again as England tonight with no.8 as the captain but I couldn't get him to do a super shot.

I think we might have more success by choosing a captain that plays nearer the centre of the pitch rather than on the wing.

I'll keep this thread updated with any developments...

Just managed to do a super shot playing as England with my captain as no.9. I was playing against Holland with the score at 1-1 when I played a high pass from the near touchline to my captain who executed the super shot. There were 8 seconds left when the goal was scored.

I don't believe that I pressed any special combination of buttons to do it but I did notice that the screen went dark just as the player near the touchline played the pass to my captain which suggests that the captain automatically does the super shot if you play an accurate pass to him (maybe).

It was pretty cool anyway, blasted the goalkeeper through the back of the net and I won 2-1
