Newbie questions on digital box

Hi my m8s basicly got a hacked Digital box it says telewest broadband on the front and its model 4000 I think, got it for �150 dunno if thats a good price. Already been advised to run a splitter and have the original box on (with basic package) so talk back can occur...

But got some questions if anyone could care to answer

Every now and then he said the green light (second from the one thats always on) it flashes.... does this mean talkback is still enabled?

Hes been told he can get all the PPV films/events/porn on front row unlimited amount of times and he wont get charged nor will NTL know like, is this true?

Basicly im still worried about that blinkin green light, anyway I can find out talkbacks totaly off?

try pressing the interactive button m8, if you cet a error you are ok, if you can access interactive then I suggest you unplug it, or you could open it up and have a look. with the front panel facing away from you, look in the top left corner you should see the cut track (if it is a 4000 box).

My m8s pressed the Interactive button and nothing at all happens..... he said the box shows agree light when its pressed but nothing happens, no error just nadda...

Think thats good news?

Thing is does anyone know what the flashing green light is? My m8 just told me his subbed box does it but the hacked box doesnt....only here and there.

I did a 4000 box and cut talkback and it flashes still, but I don't know what it does when talkback is uncut.

Cant test interactive as it wont work on mine cos i have wrong control .

I think its safe to say nadda happens is a good sign, ive noticed the subbed box on my m8s flashes nearly all the time but the hacked box he has rarely flashes.

I think maybe it can send talkback down the wire but it wont send anything back.

Its been pushed back... there continuing on the series with season 8 and hopefully 9

I prefer the series its either that or Andromeda on Skyone

Sorry to break this nice little SG1 chat up just thought i would let you know RP2x that there is a limit to PPV before you have to clean your card. not sure how many you can watch i think it is around 40 so belive me thats a lot of porn.

efc? Enterprise? Season3s out not sure when sky1 gets it though. SG1 adverts on but I have to switch to another channel no spoilers for me!

A limit? hmm are u sure m8 cos I asked the guy who does it and he told me twice its definatly unlimited.

If talkback is indeed off surely one can just keep taking out movies/events/pron as many times as possible....

Can anyone else confirm theres a limit?

There is no limit on funcards or mosc's that have ppv channels allways on, the only cards that have the limit is mosc's that require you to put in a pin to purchase the ppv.

Am Positive, have maxed out my card had to clean my PPV History on the card. afterwards worked a treat.

EDIT Must have the PPV which requires PIN----- Can anybody advise me how to eddt my MOSC so that i do not need to input a PIN

ahhh shame cos my m8s gotta use a pin of 1234, and then he accesses the films... even though hes assured me its unlimited.

I might just keep trying it and if it runs out well ill get my m8 to refresh it eventually

theres a limit, i doubt ur using a funcard in a cr3 area to get PPV..this leads me to presume you have a ROM10, which as planeman says will need cleaning every so often.
