please can any one help as i can not find any info regarding this matter. i`ve got two brand new boxes they are DI 4010 models with cards i no they have never been used still boxed . can they be done. the boxes are from leicester and i`am in derby so is it pos 4 me so i can watch them in derby. i spoke to some one they said they can not be done i just want to make sure this bloke is not telling me porkys .

the only problem with 4010 is they auto set net id this will only work in certain full ntl areas,put it on the feed and see if it stores its net id for your area if it does there shouldnt be any problem(net id can be found in the engineer menu)

DONT put it into the stream.. if they have never been open.. the cards will have a fake boxkey..

use libdebug to get the boxkey.. before u stream it !!

as soon as u stream it it will update the software on the box and you are fooked...

also make sure there brand.. brand new. and not old reclaimed ones re-vamped and re packed as phase 1 and phase 2. coz they also will read box key xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx .. or on the old phase 1 4000-dn it will say witheld.
and the Rom10 or Rom11 will be blocked..

To read the b/k using libdebug on 4010 you need a max232 mod making, the info is on here sumwhere.
